Kenta ran as if his life depended on it. Which in a way, it was. He was trying to get further into the village as quickly as possible. I’m only in the way on the battlefield but I can bring people to safety! He hesitated for a second. I need to find my family first.
He kept running towards the poor district when he ran into a group of villagers.
“No, don’t go there! It isn’t safe!” He yelled to the villagers that were moving toward the wall.
“We’re being attacked, get to safety! Can you get to the castle?”
“Uh, I think so? Attacked? By who?” one of the villagers asked confused.
“I don’t know but you have to get to safety. Try to get others to come with you if you can. Can you get to the castle on your own?”
The villager nodded and turned around to move the rest of the people along. Well.. that is one? I hope mom and dad are alright. I need to hurry!
Kenta skidded around a corner near the poor district. Moving along the familiar streets with ease.
“Dad!? Are you here?” he yelled. A bit further up the street a man came out of a house.
“Kenta, what are you doing?” he asked.
“Dad, youhavetogo! Thevillageisbeingattacked! youneedtogettosafety. Ifyoudo-“
“Kenta!” his father interrupted. Kenta looked up at him confused.
“Deep breath, like that. Good boy. Now tell me again but slowly.”
He took another deep breath and tried to slow his racing heart a bit.
“The village is being attacked by weird masked man. You need to get yourself, mom and Shiori to safety. There is a safe place in the Castle.”
His father took the news quite well and nodded at his son. Is he staying calm for my sake?
“Okay. I will take your mother and sister there.”
Kenta lead out a breath he didn’t realise he was holding.
“But!” his father added, “You need to promise me to try and stay safe.” Kenta tried to interrupt him, to tell him he couldn’t do this.
“No Kenta. I know you can’t promise me you’ll be safe but at least promise me you’ll try.”
He tried to smile but didn’t quite manage it. “O-okay dad”
His dad smiled at him. “Come here son” his father pulled him towards him and gave him a hug.
“Stay safe” Kenta whispered to him. His father looked at him proudly before moving back into the house to get the rest of the family. They’ll be safe. Dad will get them to safety. He allowed himself to relax for a few seconds. His family was going to be safe. Step 1 was complete. Now lets get some more people from the streets.
He jogged towards the main street and saw some merchants that were still there. Shouldn’t someone have told them already?
“Come on old man! You heard the ninja. It isn’t safe!” one of the vendors said
“And who says they aren’t lying!” an angry merchant yelled back.
Kenta ran towards them.
“Is there a problem?” he asked as politely as he could manage in the current situation.
“This idiot doesn’t want to leave!” a female vendor said frustrated.
He- doesn’t want to leave? Is he serious?!
“Okay, I’ll get him to move. Why don’t you go to the castle already?”
The merchants seemed to relax a bit at Kenta’s words and started to move.
“So, what is this about not wanting to move?” Kenta asked the old merchant.

then return later with a larger force. There's no point in throwing your life away before you reach your potential.
Run as fast as you can, because lives are on the line and most of the village is unaware of the attack! Get going!
Whether you are telling civilians to evacuate to the castle, helping Academy students to the Academy,
or finding veteran warriors to aid the conflict - word of mouth travels fast - Make sure everyone knows!
Kenta is back! Well it actually takes place before my previous mission but well... XD
